In recent days, as part of the Skills Academy 2.0 project, we organized a social visit to the performance “Tutti all’opera, ragazzi! Vol. V” at the Teatro alla Scala: an opportunity for encounter, discovery, and cultural participation.
Through a journey featuring some of the most famous arias from the European operatic repertoire, participants were able to directly experience the world of the theatre, coming into contact with music, singing, and artistic languages that are often perceived as distant.
For some, this was a subsequent step in a path already started with a visit to the Laboratori Scala Ansaldo: after discovering what happens “behind the scenes,” they were able to attend a performance, thus completing the experience and strengthening their connection with this important place of Milanese culture.
The experience was particularly meaningful also on a personal level. Kristina, who arrived in Italy from Ukraine four years ago, says:
«Going to the opera at Teatro alla Scala has always been one of my dreams. Thanks to this opportunity, I was finally able to experience it. Sitting close to the stage, I felt the full atmosphere and intensity of the music»
Direct contact with the repertoire of composers such as Giacomo Puccini, Gioachino Rossini, and Giuseppe Verdi made the experience even more engaging, helping to make the theatre an accessible and meaningful space.
«This visit made me realize that the path toward culture and art is accessible to everyone. It is a memory I will always carry with me», she adds.
These activities go beyond cultural enjoyment: they promote access to symbolic places, strengthen a sense of belonging, and contribute to supporting personal growth paths. The shared experience thus becomes a concrete tool for inclusion, capable of fostering motivation, confidence, and openness toward new possibilities.
Because inclusion also comes from the opportunity to experience culture together and feel part of a community.
