Report 2024 - Hermann's story

Hermann, a 40-year-old Cameroonian entrepreneur, has lived in Kénitra, Morocco, for 14 years. After facing difficulties in the post-COVID period, Hermann sought technical and financial support to relaunch his business. It was through a member of the sub-Saharan community that he discovered Soleterre’s Work Is Progress program. With the guidance of our start-up incubation manager, he embarked on a journey that transformed his future.

Hermann participated in essential courses for any entrepreneur, covering topics such as law, accounting, and financial and commercial management. The quality of his work led the program to select his company for the acceleration phase. Over 18 months of support, Hermann enthusiastically participated in training activities, networking events, and received financial assistance of 130,000 dirhams (approximately €13,000). These funds were crucial in establishing a production facility, improving administrative management, and structuring a clearer vision for the future of his business.

Thanks to Work Is Progress, Hermann gained key skills, such as using fundraising tools and accessing bank credit. However, what he valued most was the relationships he built along the way. The coaches and trainers at the Work Is Progress Center have become invaluable references.
