OBJECTIVES

The MENTOR 2 project, carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan (lead partner), the City of Turin, Agenzia Piemonte Lavoro (APL), Agenzia Metropolitana per la Formazione, l’Orientamento e il Lavoro (AFOL Metropolitana), ANOLF PIEMONTE, Centro Estero per l’Internazionalizzazione Scpa (CEIPIEMONTE), Promos Italia s.c.r.l. – Agenzia Italiana per l’internazionalizzazione, Centro Studi di Politica Internazionale CeSPI, has the following objectives:

1) Improving the capacity of territorial players and institutions to implement circular migration schemes between Italy (Milan and Turin), Morocco (Beni Mellal – Khenifra region and Tangier), and Tunisia (Tunis and Sfax).

2) Raising awareness among migrants and enterprises in Italy, Morocco and Tunisia about training, work exchange and employment opportunities for young people.

3) Improving the capacity of local players and institutions to learn from experience and thus to influence the adaptation of policies, planning and procedures in the field of labor migration.

By acting with a multi-level approach, the project also contributes to the achievement of the objectives set out in the recent joint communication issued on 9th March 2020 by the European Commission and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy on ‘New Comprehensive Strategies with Africa’.
