OBJECTIVES

The MENTOR 2 project, carried out in cooperation with the Municipality of Milan (lead partner), the City of Turin, Agenzia Piemonte Lavoro (APL), Agenzia Metropolitana per la Formazione, l’Orientamento e il Lavoro (AFOL Metropolitana), ANOLF PIEMONTE, Centro Estero per l’Internazionalizzazione Scpa (CEIPIEMONTE), Promos Italia s.c.r.l. – Agenzia Italiana per l’internazionalizzazione, Centro Studi di Politica Internazionale CeSPI, has the following objectives:

  1. Improve the capacity of territorial actors and institutions to implement circular migration schemes between Italy (Milan and Turin), Morocco (Beni Mellal – Khenifra region and Tangier), and Tunisia (Tunis and Sfax).
  2. Raise awareness among migrants and enterprises in Italy, Morocco and Tunisia about training, work exchange and employment opportunities for young people.
  3. Improve the capacity of local actors and institutions to learn from experience and thus influence the adjustment of the policies, the planning and the procedures in the field of labour migration.

By acting with a multi-level approach, the project also contributes to the achievement of the objectives set out in the recent joint communication issued on 9 March 2020 by the European Commission and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy on the “New Comprehensive Strategies with Africa“.
