Migrant citizens with international protection status, HR managers, managers of the Maisons and volunteers from the involved Maisons.

OBJECTIVES

Italy is the second country in Europe in terms of over-qualification among foreign citizens, with more than 67% of the immigrants from non-EU countries employed in jobs that require a significantly lower technical or academic qualification than the one they possess.

The LVMH4Work project, implemented by Soleterre in partnership with the LVMH Group in Italy (a world leader in the luxury sector), aims at enhancing the talent of third-country citizens holding protection status with medium-high qualifications, by supporting their job placement in the Group’s Maisons through a series of preparatory and accompanying activities.

The project intends to address in a pioneering way the issue of over-qualification of foreign citizens on the Italian labour market and foresees the following phases:

  • MAPPING, aimed at identifying the desired profiles and the skills required by the companies in the group and assessing the most developed professional skills among the holders of protection followed by the Soleterre network.
  • SELECTION of the most suitable profiles and matching with the companies in the group.
  • TRAINING of the selected profiles where necessary and launch of a support programme for diversity management in the group companies, with the identification of an “employment angel” to accompany the new recruits.
  • INSERTION INTO THE COMPANY AND GUIDANCE of the new recruits by Soleterre and the employment angels. The accompaniment is also aimed at the company managers to ensure that the process runs smoothly.

The Tiresia group of the Milan Polytechnic University will monitor the project in order to assess its social impacts and good practices that can be replicated.
