FOR WHOM AND WHERE

Reception, linguistic-cultural mediation; orientation and access to local services, legal protection; vocational training and retraining, Italian language teaching; orientation and guidance to work and housing integration; psycho-socio-health protection; counselling and support to social integration.

32 adults with international and humanitarian protection, hosted in the SAI reception network in the Municipality of Rozzano (MI).

OBJECTIVES

The KOINÈ – INCLUSION IN THE TERRITORY project is carried out in partnership with Casa di Betania (leader) and Concrete Onlus – Società Cooperativa. The intervention is divided into five organizational areas, each of which has the following objectives:

  1. Fostering the resolution of legal and social relations situations thanks to the support of the legal desk and the cultural mediator; Meeting the primary needs of guests through the actual reception in the structure; Promoting an experience of community life and individual autonomy through the involvement in local events and awareness-raising meetings with the local population (Active Citizenship and Inclusion Area);
  2. Promoting social and work integration through skills assessment and active job search (Ricerca Attiva del Lavoro, RAL), together with Italian language courses, career counselling and matching/placement in companies (Economic independence and work area);
  3. Achieve a good level of individual autonomy in the active search for housing through the presentation of social housing initiatives and meetings with local services, starting from the Housing Desk of the Municipality of Rozzano; Strengthening the offer of accommodation for temporary protection for the phase immediately following the reception by leveraging on the voluntary action of the association Casa di Betania (for the Housing/Homing Area);
  4. Preventing and counteracting the onset of health and/or psychopathological risks through full medical care provided by the general practitioner and the psychologist, according to the specific needs; Facilitating access to the National Health Service thanks to the support of the professionals involved; Increasing individual knowledge/capacity regarding the right to health, healthy habits and rules of prevention by holding weekly listening groups (for the Social Welfare and Health Area).
